Monday Morning!

Good morning ladies!

I am only up b/c I hugged H goodbye. I actually feel like crap, so I am taking some meds and going back to bed. So I guess this is sort of a P&R. My throat is sore and I am just so tired. I didn't sleep well last night for some reason despite being tired.

Then I have to get up and get my butt moving on all sorts of things including packing up some dishes and things we aren't really using right now.

Have a great day!

Re: Monday Morning!

  • Good morning. There's a strong possibility that I'm hungover this morning. Cegnal was in town last night with her H and KK and Birdie and my H and I met her at an Irish bar. We all did a round of  shots and generally had too much to drink (I did anyways!) My ass is sore from sitting on the only open outdoor seating, a picnic bench. I'm hoping she pops on today with some of the pictures!

I get to go see my nephew tonight! The dad wants to make us a 'thank you' dinner for all we've done. He's making meatloaf. Now, I've been cooking for several years and I still think meatloaf is impossible to make. This guy only ever grills. Should be interesting! But at least I get to hold the baby!

Sorry you're feeling like poo, Missy :(

  • GOod Morning ladies!  Missysue - aren't you supposed to stop getting sick now that you aren't around a bunch of snot suckers?  that's annoying!!

LVB - have you not gotten to hold your nephew yet?  Or you're just super excited to do it again?

I got to work at 6:40 and just now at 7:40 got my computer up and running.  I had to install updates b/c I never shut my computer down and then it took 27 minutes to start up my computer.  That's how slow these f*ckers are.  It's so annoying and the exact reason I don't EVER shut it down.
  • Lol I'm just super lame and excited to do it again. We went over on Friday and I held him for 3 hours.

  • That's not lame, you're just a proud aunt!  I was just making sure they weren't trying to keep him from you.  I'd drive down there and baby jack him if they hadn't let you hold him yet!!!
  • Morning, everyone. Missy, you guys are moving back to Ohio even though your H didn't get the job? Or am I missing something? Sorry you aren't feeling well. LVB, hangovers are the suck, but at least you had fun yesterday.

Have you guys seen this new video? http://tinyurl.com/3wx3jn2
  • No, they're being great! I'm so happy they're giving me as much time as I want with them. I'm trying to limit how much I go over there. Just twice a week? I dunno what's normal. But whenevr I do go over, I take them something they need or make them dinner, so it works, right?

  • Sounds like it works!  I loved when my mom or my MIL would come over and cook dinner b/c they'd clean up after dinner as well and even though it seemed small to them, it really helped out so much!
  • So flipping tired. I will not say good morning I will only say morning.

This weekend was a wonderful weekend, just completely jammed packed. I could have slept for at least another few hours this morning.

  • Good morning!  Feel better soon, Missy :(

I'm at work and I feel like garbage.  Worse, I forgot to take any painkillers before I left, so I guess I'm on my own until after 3 PM.  It's going to be a long day.  Also, the stupid alarm in the office is beeping every few minutes, and I can't figure out how to get it to turn off.  Oh, Monday, why can't you be over yet?

  • Bay I saw your facebook status and at first thought to myself, why would the week of Easter be anymore difficult, but then I remembered where you work. I am sorry only a few more days right? Just push through the crazies!

  • Four days of insanity, and then a three-day vacation!  I can't wait for Thursday at 3 PM (I'm banking on getting out on time that day).  Then H and I are driving to MA to spend the holiday with his family, and I can relax for three days.  Can't.  Freakin.  Wait.

[QUOTE]Rosie - I love the new sig pic. You wear a ribbon and bow hat rather well. =)

haha we had like 5 hats made at the end of the night. One of FI's cousin's kids wanted to wear my hat so I let her. Still not sure why she wanted to wear it so bad. But oh well!

  • Morning. About to board our first flight back home. Boo vacation is over. Tomorrow DH has to call the GM of Phoenix. It feels real now. Yikes. Next time to The states might be a one-way ticket.

  • Are you coming around more to Phoenix?

  • Stacks, it's not terrible.  I have two large, deep scrapes and two small shallow scrapes.  One of the larger ones hurts, but I think that's because it's on my knee and I constantly move it.  The ribs hurt more than the road rash, unfortunately.  It'll be better in a few days.  Thanks for asking :)

  • Good morning everyone! I'm paying for my ultra-lazy day yesterday. I should have been lazy Saturday and then active yesterday because I just didn't sleep that well. Also having stomach issues, so that didn't help. Oh well, at least it was a light traffic morning! And I'm starting to get used to the idea of not having school for FIVE WEEKS. WOOT!

    Missy please feel better. :-(
    cfasz, s'mores you say??? Yum.
LVB drink lots of water. Also I'm totally jealous you met cengle.
Rosie you're adorable, have I told you that lately?
LTB what'd ya bake?? I can't bake. I'm terrible at it.

  • Well I hope your ribs feel better fast, I can't imagine that's a good feeling.  :(  did you ride your bike to work today?

Lynda - good luck to your H.  I'm sure  you're just ready for it all to be over and just know already!!  Mr Stack was so bummed out about turning down that job last week so he called the guy back and told him he really hoped he didn't hurt his chances for any future opportunities because he really wanted to work with the guys out there and the PA guy was so understanding and knew before he gave him the offer that it wasn't going to be enough.  He said that they're actually posting a job this week that they want him to apply for that will give him about double what this job was willing to give him so we'll see what happens.  It's seriously so stressful watching the H go through this, I'm sure you feel the same way.  It's like you want to do all you can to help but it's really just up to them in the end.
  • Have a good flight, Lynda!

It really is so stressful. I felt the same way with FI trying to brought on as a federal employee. At first I thought I was being supportive by being realistic, by trying to keep him from getting too hopeful. But then he told me that he needed me to be the one that was always positive, so then I switched it up and supported him that way. Its hard to figure out the needs of someone looking for work like that.

  • Mornin!   Not much new here.

I took my car in today to have some regular maintenance/inspections, cause I'm totally behind on those since I have really low mileage (6 years old, but only 45,000 miles).  And now for the waiting game to see what all should be fixed......  Cause you know, I can afford it (not).

While I was waiting for their shuttle to take me to work, they had the Today Show on.  And can I just say that I'm uber sick of hearing about the royal wedding?  Maybe because mine is the day after and I'm sick of my own wedding and just want it to be here already?  I dunno.

  • Missy I hope you feel better soon! I had a 102 degree fever a few weeks ago but it cleared up pretty fast. I haven't called out of work in years and I was out for a few days. Get some rest and hopefully there is a good marathon on today. Every girl deserves a good tv marathon on a sick day:) Or at least some good DVR theatre!
  • Stacks that's great news, but also... what a roller coaster for you and Mr. Stacks.

Lynda if you end up in Phoenix and I end up in Tucson... that'd be pretty cool. :-)
  • Morning.  There is still snow on the ground.  Thus it is not a good morning, just a morning.

LVB - I understand.  I take any opportunity I can get to snuggle my nieces.

Stacks - Good luck to H on this new job!  Maybe this is exactly what you guys have been waiting for!  It must be so difficult though not knowing what's happening.

    Bay - Feel better.

Rosie - I love the hat.  you are so cute.

  • Morning! I had a busy weekend...a friend (not close friend, but someone I've known forever) was supposed to be in Santiago for a few days and leave Saturday, so we met up for a drink Friday night. She realized when it was time to pay that her wallet with her passport wasn't in her purse - probably stolen on the metro - so we were up til 2am calling the Embassy emergency number, calling her family, canceling bank cards, etc. Then I spent most of Saturday helping her get passport photos, file a police report, etc. Did I miss any big news here over the weekend?

    Bay, what happened, bike wipeout?

    Rosie, love the new pic!

Manda, why would you be ending up in Tucson? Didn't know you guys were maybe moving.

4-day week here, thank god for Catholic countries!
  • Thanks, Manda.  I'll be all right, it's only six more hours, right?  I can handle it.

Em, yeah, bike slipped when I hit the curb and I tumbled.

DocBroc, I remember getting to the end of planning my wedding and just wanting it to be over.  Two more weeks!  The day of, you're going to have so much fun, you'll forget how stressful it all was getting there.
