Royal Etiquette

This is just a JOKE but why do the royal couple get to:

1. have a tiered reception

2. take back and invite!

Re: Royal Etiquette

  • Whose invite was rescinded?

  • There's a wholeeee board on TK for Royal Weddings for a reason.
  • I couldn't care less about this stupid wedding. My MOH invited me to her house to watch it (whenever it is...isn't it like crazy early for us or something?) I laughed at her.
  • I just looked it up and it's 6am for eastern time.
  • Im just making a light hearted post it's not a serious debate thing to me but the Syrian ambassador's invite was rescinded

  • I heard they will start airing coverage at 4am Eastern time!
  • no worries, holly. I wasn't trying to start anything, I just haven't aired my feelings on this damn wedding yet and this was the moment I decided to do it.

HOW DARE YOU START A LIGHT HEARTED POST!??!?! THIS PLACE IS SERIOUS. :)
  • And I'm not trying to be a biitch. They just made that board so all of the other boards wouldn't get clogged up with royal wedding crap.
  • The Syrian Ambassador's invitation was revoked. It was due to violence during protests in Syria.

And, I believe "tiered receptions" are common there. I'm not sure you can compare this wedding to a "regular" wedding. Too many differences.

  • Just go away with this shiit.

  • The moderator can move it to that board if she wants. i didnt realize it would clog this one.
I was joking. I know they have totally different things going on than most of us.

  • Seriously, I'm pretty sure that if someone came on and said "I've invited someone who is partially responsible for the deaths of hundreds of people - can I uninvite?" the answer would be yes. You don't have to be royal for that.

    <div>Exactly.</div><div>
</div><div>I also think being a Royal wedding ,guests are going to be excited to say "I was there in person" than get upset they didn't get an invite to the reception. KWIW?   </div>

What differentiates an average host and a great host is anticipating unexpressed needs and wants of their guests.  Just because the want/need is not expressed, doesn't mean it wouldn't be appreciated.
