[QUOTE]In Response to Re: It's friday night... : You should take Evidence and Property for sure.  The tax on the bar (if they ask) is not that bad and you don't really need to know math.  That sucks that you have to pick lit v transaction!  Do you know if you want to do corporate?

I am required to take Property, and I think Evidence is just STRONGLY encouraged, but I am definitely going to take it.

Yeah, its really weird they are doing it different for our class and making us choose.I honestly have a really open mind on what I want to do, so having to choose is kinda annoying. Basically our big project in Litigation would be writing an Appellate Brief, and the big project in Transaction is writing and drafting a contract. I've already written a trial level brief this semester so I'm tempted to do the Transactional just to experience drafting the transaction.

  • Ciara-- He is being very whiny about it now--I put aloe vera on, so he shut up after that. But he was on the phone while grilling and leaned against the grill to talk. Silly J.

  • Well thats his own fault then. You do not lean against a grill when its in use. Tell him to stop being such a baby.

  • Hi everyone!
Just popping in, we're about to go to our Friday Lenten new couples meeting.
If you're around, OOT, I've got a PM for you.
  • Yeah, he recognized his lack of thought in that decision.

Hi Mica, for a brief moment, :)

  • Ok forgive me for sounding like a total idiot, but what does taking a car for emissions mean? *hides*

  • I don't know either musical it's okay.

  • I just woke up from a nap. I don't know what it is, but I have been so exhausted this week. I have not been able to keep my eyes open for anything.

I feel so relieved that I don't have to work for an evil director anymore. I am looking forward to relaxing this weekend and cleaning and packing next week.
  • In Ohio every couple of years in order to renew your license plate for your vehicle you have to take it to get the emissions levels checked.  They stick a wand in your tailpipe (not as dirty as it sounds) and check the levels of pollutants.  If they are too high, you have to get your car fixed before you can update your registration.  It's state run, and doesn't cost you anything, it's just a pain in the neck cause there's only so many e-check places and they sometimes have weird hours.
  • I think you have to do it in some counties here but not the one I live in so I've never know what it was about.

  • I don't ever remember taking my car in for that test when I lived in Ohio.
  • For some reason I think it used to be $20 but they changed it.  And I haven't had to get one done in about 6 years because I keep wrecking cars before they get to that point... *knock wood*.
  • it might be by county here too
  • Well I have never had a car for more than 6 yrs, so maybe that is why I have never had one done. But H has had his car for way longer than that, and I don't believe he has ever had one done.
  • I think it costs A LOT more than 15 or 20 dollars ito get the emissions inspection in DC. Our car is still registered in Florida though, so I'm not sure. But the cost of registering it definitely one of the reasons we keep the FL tag and leave the car at FI's office M-F.

    And evening ladies!
  • Huh yeah I have never heard of something like that here. If so, I've never done it, heh.

I brought my car into the body shop on Monday and I called today, they said it wouldn't be ready until NEXT Friday. ARGH.

  • Sounds good LTB. Fruit always makes things healthier.

  • Hi ladies!  Just popping in quick while I wait for H to finish getting ready and then we are going to dinner.  It's our last night of our trip and we are going to really nice steakhouse here.

Ciara I know in our county we have to get the emissions test done because my friends' H's car just failed it and now it needs work done.

  • So today I had a no touch massage that was really weird but yet relaxing. Have any of you ladies heard of this? I think the real term for it is like energetics or something..

  • Hi Anna!!

Hi Beachy!  Sounds like you've enjoyed your trip.  Steak sounds yummy.

LTB - stuffed french toast?  Is that just two pieces with filling in the middle or is it more complicated than that?
  • If I remember correctly when my mother lived in Everett she had to have hers done. In Kitsap county we don't.

Have fun DNB. Steak sounds really good but DH isn't allowed to have any for a couple weeks. So I won't be mean and cook one for myself when he can't enjoy it with me.

    Hi Loopy!

And Ciara, you can't eat steak when you're pregnant? For real? Everything I hear about pregnancy just makes it sound less and elss appealing.
  • I can eat steak anna my DH can't right now do to his drs orders.

  • Hi hi! I'm going out for a friend's birthday tonight and am sick of people asking about the wedding plans. I wish others would realize that I like to talk about non-wedding things!

  • Ciara - not being able to eat steak would make me so so sad.

Hi panther.  I like your flowers inspiration.  Very pretty.
  • Oh man Ciara, I totally read that wrong. OK, I might be able to have kids again.

[QUOTE]Loopy - pretty much. You use a thicker bread (like Italian or Challah) and (typically) put a cream cheese mixture between the slices. Then you just make it like regular french toast. Barbie - that sounds pretty neat. I wonder if something like that would help for the continual pain I have in my left shoulder blade or if I'd need a physical massage.

It might help...I have chronic pain and I can't have anyone touch me because it hurts too much. I don't know how it works but I am kind of sore after it so I guess it did something!

  • That is really strange sounding, Barbie. But if it helps, that would be great for you! It makes me sad that it hurts too much for people to touch you, :(
