BFF, why do you have no common sense?

So my BFF had some major drama with her roommate when she moved out. Anyways, she owes the roommate money she just told me she pays every month IN CASH! She said she mailed it the last time and the roommate said she never received. Yea, no kidding. Write a check so you have proof you paid! I love her but she makes the stupidest choices.

Yea, I pretty much did call her an idiot. Its not like this is the only dumb thing shes done. I don't know why she can't just figure stuff out. Agh!

Please tell me why on earth she thought mailing cash was a good idea, and then to make a copy of the cash??? I just don't know how someone would think they were doing a smart thing....I would have told her she was a dummy.

I have no idea. She said she mailed it because the roommate was moving? But seriously, a copy...of cash?! Like T said, what was so going to do? track the little serial (or whatever) numbers on the cash? If she weren't so, so sensitive and easily offended I would have flat out called her stupid.

Isn't mailing cash not only risky, but illegal?

No, it is not illegal.

However, my grandmother has been doing it for 40 years. $20 bills and $50 bills, etc. It's insane. None have EVER gone missing.
