My fiance and I are planning a Vegas wedding (likely the Tropicana, but we're still in discussion). As we are a few states away, it would require a road trip or plane fare for our guests.
We are planning on a guest list of 40 or so people who want to come and who can make the trip. They will be present for the wedding and we are planning a nice dinner (not a formal reception at the wedding site).
A few days later we are planning a formal reception in our hometown where every one is invited (whoever wanted to come to the wedding and all of the family and friends who couldn't make the trip).
I was wondering how we should set up the dates to what would be a comfortable travel arrangement but still close enough to feel like one event: ie a April 22nd wedding and a April 25th reception.
Would a two event seem tacky?
