directions to wedding site

My wedding is held on an extremely busy weekend in my hometown. Can I include a note that "advises extra travel" time on my map/directions to the site? I feel this would be a courteous reminder for my guests, but I'm not convinced it's appropriate.

Here is what I was thinking of including at the bottom of my map.

Please note that June 25 is Hoopfest weekend in Spokane and roads may experience higher traffic volumes than normal. Extra travel time is suggested.

That should be fine.   As a guest, I would appreciate the extra information on the map card.

Are most of your guests from out of town and wouldn't know this?

I don't find it to be rude at all.  In fact, it's rather helpful.

I have a note on my web site warning people that there's an Orioles game that day, and to follow the game-day directions on the hotel web site because of potential road closures.

I think it's perfectly fine.

I think that's fine. I'd much rather know in advance (or be reminded) than run into unexpected traffic and be late.
