picking dad as MOH

Hello.We are getting married in Jamaica in about 2 months. It will be a small wedding of about 25 people. I have a few friends going, but I don't feel comfortable picking favourites. So I was wondering if I could ask my daddy to be my witness instead. I think this will make him feel special. I'm just worried if people will think that's odd. My SO is choosing his brother as a witness and we will have no bridesmaids or groomsmen, so I don't know if that's appropriate.

If you want your dad to be the one to support you and stand by yourside, go for it! Will he walk you down the aisle as well?

It isn't inappropriate, just unconventional.

My H had his mom be the 'beat man' or whatever. (My brother was my 'man of honor.') And that was almost 16 years ago. If you'd like to give your dad that honor, I say go for it.

It's definitely okay. If he's walking you down the aisle, he can just take his place at your side once you reach the altar. I think it's really sweet.
