Who set me on the Stephanie Plum books?

I'm not sure I should thank you or give you my bank receipts. Holy. crap. Do they stop getting better?

Re: Who set me on the Stephanie Plum books?

  • Not me, but I'm right there with you.  I finally bought and read the first one, and just ordered the second.  I really am kicking myself for starting though because even the old ones are still $8.99 each on Kindle.

  • Right?! I need to find out if someone is lending them.  I got a ton of Amazon gift cards for Christmas and they are almost gone.  On BOOKS ffs.
  • I wish I had the time to read nightly.  I might have to look into these.

  • B, I read an entire book on the flight home, even with sleeping for 3 hours.  I actually read, rather than watch the movies. They are super fast reads.
  • I might have. They are my FAVORITE! Did you know the movie is coming Jan 27th?

  • Snips I read the first one on my flight back after Christmas too.

I just checked, neither the first or second book are lendable on Kindle.  Of course they aren't, that would be too nice.

  • I saw that there was a movie, but since I'm not in the states, I didn't know if it was terribly recent or not.

Beach, of COURSE they aren't. Far too easy that way.
  • Aren't they hilarious? I stopped reading after ten or so, the stories started to get a little redundant. Still funny though. My mom and I love them, so for christmas I bought us tickets to go when the movie opens.

  • Yeah, I can see how things would get repetitive, but for right now, they're fun. :)
  • They did get a little repetitive, but they're still fun reading candy.  I just can't read several in a row anymore.  When i first started reading them, I read like 1-8 in about a week.
  • This is my absolute favorite series so I'm glad there's a new fan out there :)  Ditto PP that they start getting repetitive and I think she's phoning them in now that she's on 18 but they are still very fun and quick reads.

Although I am refusing to watch the movie because the casting seems all wrong to me and I don't want the movie to ruin the books!  I just don't see Stephanie being played by Katherine Heigl with a bad Jersey accent.
  • I just read the first one last fall and then had to wait for the library to buy a new second one because their other one was mia. I finally got it last week. Total reading candy, but it's nice to have.
  • I don't find them repetitive at all. I have read every one (I started years ago) and I love them. I think she is very entertaining.
  • They are such fun books! Kind of excited for the movie =)
