Hi Hi!!
So, after the drama about the B party, I kept J up all day and then left to pick my sister up at the airport, then we went to the mall to get a couple things and then on over to the rehearsal dinner, where we all forgot we were supposed to rehearse and just ate BBQ burgers and hotdogs.
The wedding day, J was determined to not see me, so he jumped out of bed and the rest of the morning was spent avoiding each other by diving into the nearest room (or even under a sheet and being escorted, at one point.). It was sweet
He ran errands, and I stuck around the house directing and setting everything up, we had his cousins and best guy friends over and they really stepped up and helped out a ton. I was a little freaked because it was supposed to rain, but we figured out a wedding plan and just went with it. And then it didn't rain! I think it was all the positive vibes
Then I went to the B&B with my sister and daughters, but my bridesmaid left her dress at her hotel so she couldn't get ready there in time. No biggie, we were crunched as it was and didn't really get all the pics I wanted to get there anyway. So then we get back to the house, and I had to wait in the bedroom because the guys were running behind too. Lame. But finally, everyone went down the aisle, and I did too.
My dad skyped the ceremony from the front seat, which made me super happy. The pastor decided he wanted to revamp the ceremony and did the ring warming at the end, which was awkward, we wanted them to be passed at the beginning so people could take their time and not be standing there for 5 minutes, but oh well. Then a guy in the back dropped the rings, and held up his BEER, and was like, I didn't spill! I about died. I was like, J, why does he have a beer?? Apparently he helped himself or something. But besides that, the ceremony went by great, the girls were angels, no screaming or pulling on us or anything. They seemed to get we were having "adult time" or something.
Our first dance was great, J panicked and tried to spin himself when I was spinning, I love him
haha. I'm so glad we got that on video.
Oh man, the toast. Or roast, actually. His BM is SUCH an asshole. He spent 10 minutes at least basically saying J is a drunk, always curses, is lazy, doesn't speak english, settles for what he gets, and is a simpleton. We also got a video of that... It was really bad. He didn't even finish it with a "to J and J!" so it was like, uh, do we drink now? One of joe's cousins saved us on that one, and toasted us. Ugh. When I get the video, I might have to make a youtube clip on it. It was awful, I don't know what he was thinking.
The food was incredible, the dessert was incredible, no-one got smashed drunk, all the kids were amazing, and overall everything was just freaking awesome.
