website info. for parents

Hi everyone,

I created a wedding website, I would like to create a page letting parents know their children are welcome, and that we will provide a sitter at the reception if they want to have their children watched. However, if their children want to dance and partake in the wedding we are happy with that too.

I am struggling with how to stay all of this, but in a nice way.

Does anyone have wording suggestion?

I don't want parents to think they have to have their kids with our sitter, but I also don't want them to think they need to leave their children at home.

Thank you! Happy Thursday.

  • I don't think you need a special page for this or even to make that big a deal about it.  If children are invited, you need to list the childrens names on the invitation envelope anyway, so parents already know their kids are invited.  If you have a section of the website that talks about the reception, just add something like this:

We will have a babysitter on location for your convenience, although the children are more than welcome to dance the night away with the rest of us!

  • Hey Parents!

We are so happy that your family has decided to join us in our celebration!  For your convienence, a sitter will be provided for children attending, but your children are more than welcome to join us  at the ceremony and on the dance floor!  The more the merrier!

I don't know, something along those lines.
  • Ah, I like that! Short and sweet and to the point!

Thank you :) and yes, when I send invites the childrens names will be on there.

    I appreciate your input :)
  • Great suggestions!
Ladies thanks...I was overthinking it and trying to make it way too complicated!
    Whew...weight off my shoulders :)
  • I'm glad to have helped! :)
  • What a sweetie! Yes, you certainly did. Thank you! I have not had time to get on theknot and I forgot how amazing it was! Great advice and sweet gals! :)

    Thank you!
  • "Children are welcomed to attend and join in the festivities, and there will also be childcare provided during the reception, whichever you prefer."
