PIP your favorite wedding pics

And if you aren't married, I'd like to see your must-have pics.

I'm meeting with my photographer tonight (a link to her blog is in my bio under vendors if you want to see her work). She's kind of artsy, and actually does a lot of non-wedding work, but a fair share of weddings, too. Anyway, she really wants examples of things I like.

TIA.

I don't have it, but rach's pic of her husband's "first look" at her in her dress is absolutely perfect.  Just the sweetest picture - he looks so delighted and she, of course, looks stunning.  Maybe she'll see this and post it.

ETA:  And also, nightsprite's new one of her and her husband dancing and alexiaandrobert's one of them dancing are very sweet, too.  I guess I just love the ones that show the couple being delighted with each other.
  • I love candids, so there aren't many of those that can be duplicated. I hate, hate, hate posing for photos, but that's just me. I'm also a detail fanatic, so here are a few of my favorites of those:

I saw that and loved it too!  I've seen so many "first look" pictures and in my opinion, the reaction is never captured very well, but his really was.  It's a really sweet picture.

Some of my favorite pictures from our wedding were actually during the ceremony, and they weren't posed or staged or anything.  Our photographer just did a great job capturing how happy we were.

  • This is really helpful so far!

Bec, I remember seeing that ring picture on the leaves when you put up your pro pics and I loved it. I need good ring pics because I have a crappy 4 megapixel camera with no macro focus. Which is why I post the jeweler's photo of my ring whenever I need a picture of it!

My photographer really does not do staged photos in the traditional "everyone line up here!" kind of way. NO jump shots for her! But FI said, "Um, she can do regular pics too, right?" Yes. I have no doubt they'll be good.

  • Thanks Ohwhynot! She's a ham. Before the ceremony she and the photograper walked around getting all sorts of shots. A lot of the great ones were Chloe's idea, according to the photographer!

Dani, your pics are adorable! I love the one of the guys all chillin in the ceremony seats.

  • Unposed, I liked ones that were just completely of us enjoying the moment.

Posed I like ones that really show the ladnscape and feel of your wedding, not just the people in them.

  • Great thread Mery... I love looking at wedding pics of the gals on here :)

    Bec - I'm a details gal too!

  • excuse me, Mrs. Tree, but I took a super excellent awesemetastic photo at your wedding, I'm sure the oversight is unintentional.

  • Haha, I was just doing the ones frmo the professional photog. But here is Andy's awesomeness

  • My dad, delivering me to John and shaking his hand, holding back tears. This one makes me cry, and it's why I love the tradition.

The ring bearer/holder with his "pillow," waiting intently for his cue. And yes, he had the real rings in organza bags.

Time for Van Halen, Love Walks In, and we get the hell out - note John's fist.

Do not mess in the affairs of dinosaurs because you are crunchy and taste good with ketchup.
I love you Missy. Even though you are not smart enough to take online quizzes to find out really important information. ~cew

  • oooh I love the orange shawl!
how did you make the sparkly heart? nms, but still pretty cool!
  • Bec, the funniest one of J is a closeup of his face. He looks like he's going to pass out, and there's a sheen of sweat on his face.
I laugh everytime I see it.
