Did I see that you and Mr. B started Medifast today? Is that like Mediweight or something?

My dad lives near Ocala and has been going to a place called MediWeight off and on and I'm wondering if it's the same thing, b/c if it is, I haz questions.

As far as I know, they are two different things.  Medifast has been around since 1980,

Well golly. Nevermind then.

Dad goes to MediWeight and he gets like B12 shots in his butt and stuff. It's really worked for him (while he's on it) but after he gets off the weight comes right back.

I just figured I'd ask since y'all are in similar areas and all, figured it might be similar.

Yeah, no shots on the Medifast plan.  ;-)
I've not heard of Mediweight but they might be around here, too, since that's only about an hour and a half up the road.

LDY, I think my MIL does MediWeight.  I did something that I think is similar.  What kind of questions did you have?

I'm just wondering what it's all about. My dad eats a lot of turkey sausage and cheese - he never works out but he seems to drop some serious weight when he's on this plan. He won't tell me much about it. What the heck is it? I'm worried about his heart and all...he's about 6'3 and roughly 340 lbs. Big dude.

Eek...I eat more than sausage and cheese   They did have me cut out practically all carbs and way scale back my portions.  Does he take the appetite suppressants?  I did that and the B-12 shots at first (I know, that's bad), but now I just eat smarter and control my portions.  It did help me lose the weight I wanted to lose, but I don't think it's a good thing to stay on long term.

I bet he does take appetite suppressants. He's like me...if there's food in front of him, he's gonna eat it.

I remember he ate a lot of tunafish. A LOT of tunafish. That's all I really remember though.
