I have a totally mundane question, PLEASE HELP!

Re: I have a totally mundane question, PLEASE HELP!

  • Not a whole lot. Scott fell asleep right after we got home from a friend's wedding so I'm knotting and watching everything on the DVR. My Saturdays are so exciting I can't stand it.
  • Hi Sun!

i attempting to become a permanent part of my sofa as i watch disaster movies and avoid the heat and humidity outside.

    How are you doing?
  • Haha it seems to be the saturday for hanging out in front of the TV over there! :P

It's sunday morning here. I have a headache from the cocktail and wine consumed at my colleague's 60th last night (I too clearly have a happening social life! ;P). I am doing some renovation research (we have SO much we want to do and still haven't got quotes yet... so finding places to call for that), and really should get off the couch and be productive. What's on the agenda for your sundays?

  • Eh, working out, finally finishing with painting the living room and power washing the house siding/deck. Fun times all around :)

  • Hey there! H and I just finished dinner - yummy homemade enchiladas. Probably gonna make some drinks and watch a movie and read. There is not much to do in this town and we don't know many people, so therefore we stick to ourselves and are always bored.
  • We mailed our wedding invitations today, bought my wedding band, and I'm now making flat bread/pizza to take to an Italian pot luck. One has oven dried tomato, basil and garlic, one has pesto, kalamata olives, artichoke hearts and goat cheese. And the smoke detector just went off. It does that when I cook something in the oven over 375 degrees. The pizza is set at 450.

  • My Saturday has been filled with Knotting in the AM, then I got ready for work, and am here until 20:30. Then the delectably fun 2.5mile walk home, where I will then wait for FI to get home at 23:30 (He's been gone since 10:00).

Sunday I will work from 10:50-15:00, where I get to witness a Boxing Match in the middle of the mall, directly in front of where I work. Then on to home, where I will yet again, wait for FI to get home. This time, at 2230.

I'm hoping I'll come up with some motivation to work out tomorrow, but it's probably not going to happen. I was told by a coworker today, that I don't NEED the Ice Cream that I WANTED (never said I was going to actually eat, just that I wanted one), because I was too fat. That doesn't exactly give me the motivation to prove her right, makes me want to climb into a bottle of wine, and a bag of Doritos. Not together, that would be gross...

  • Maybe I'll get a Nastily Huge Margarita instead. This restaurant by my house has these AMAZING Pomegranate Fizz things. Hmmm... Lol.
  • Those sound like delicious pizzas!

This one sounds like it'd be my favorite.. Wanna ship me some? Lol.
  • Hi!  I'm slightly buzzed from drinking 2 glasses of wine with a less than tasty dinner.  It is sooo hard to find good sushi here!  I miss Chicago.

Anyway I'm just knotting it up until its "my turn" to watch tv.  I wish we had 2 bedrooms so badly.

  • Andy, I had the worst sushi I've ever had yesterday for lunch- I should have known better than to buy it from the shopping centre! Why don't you make your own? H and I have a summer tradition of sushi making and corona drinking, it's quite fantastic.

Sorry I ran off girls- went outside to help H with the washing and ended up spending 3 hours gardening!

  • I'm here for a bit more.  Its 11:30 and I should think about going to bed, but I got started trying to research tungsten rings for FI.  We found rings we love at a jeweler that we don't love, so I'm hoping the jeweler we love will be able get us the rings we want.

    Here's what he wants: http://www.jared.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/product1%7C10451%7C10001%7C-1%7C25154450299%7C19061%7C19061.20805

But not from Jared, the sales lady we talked to was snotty.

I really want to learn how to roll sushi.  I'm trying to talk FI into taking a class, or else I'm going to see if my photographer/friend will go with me.  It sounds interesting.
  • It's pretty easy once you've had a little practice, Mocha. And fun to make! It's our Christmas activity (because Christmas = summer here!).

    Love both those rings!
