F/U to "adults only wedding"

Thank you ladies for your input I appreciate it. Thank you very much for your suggestions Harry. Also SC (I can't remember the whole name) I did ask about non-alcoholic package and b/c it's an open bar they wouldn't know if someone paid for the bar or not. Which also doesn't make much sense seeing a teenager shouldn't be served paid or not. They did say for teenagers they would allow us to buy kids meals to cut cost. So this is what I am doing for family children. Thanks again ladies.

Re: F/U to "adults only wedding"

  • Be careful with "kids" meals.  A teenager eats adult-sized portions and if your dinner is plated, they're not going to have enough food.  At my cousin's wedding a couple years ago, a tiny 10-year old girl was given a kid meal and it wasn't enough food for her--it was what a 4-year old would eat.  The groom's father had to request a normal dinner for her--and she ate every single bit of it.

That could have just been that venue, but I'd still double-check--it's better than people being unhappy that they didn't get enough to eat.

  • Thanks I will check on this. Also we will have lots of extras. We are having hot and cold hors d'oeuvres on two separate times in the reception. We are also doing buffet style with extras that my family are making. I don't think we will have an issue with there not being enough food; but it is something to check for sure.
