Bridesmaid gifts

Hi everyone,

I'm really pretty clueless about how gifting of the bridal party works. I am on a rather tight budget, but I want to make certain I show my bridal party my appreciation for their help with not only words but a gift as well. I don't want to seem cheap, but I don't want to go way above the normal in spending either (i just don't have the financial resources for it).

My first idea is this:

I'm looking to give each person (we have a small wedding party) with a gift that is personalized to them. One of my bridesmaids really loves fountain pens, and I found a place where I can get them engraved for $59 (If any of you know a cheaper site, let me know!) It seems like a lot, but I feel like it's fair after all of the effort and money she's putting into my wedding (there

So I guess this is a two part question: is $59 too much or too little to spend on a bridal party gift, and secondly, should I get the pen engraved with my wedding date or my bridesmaid's name?

Thank you!

[QUOTE]Thank you guys for the info. I was thinking that having her name would be better (why would she want to see someone else's wedding date everyday), but I wasn't certain how wedding related these things are supposed to be.

Oh GOD, the less wedding related, the better.
