NWR

Just a quick rant.  I signed up to volunteer for a girl scout event through an organization I'm involved in awhile ago.  Originally it was posted as 5-8 this Sat evening, but today's email has now extended it to 9 pm and now the location is 45 mins away.  I asked if there would be food, and of course no.  So know I either get to eat dinner 4:15 or 9:45.  I just can't believe that they would schedule something during all of the typical dinner hours without thinking of a meal.  I asked her to make sure she tells the parents to feed their kids before coming, because having 40 pre-teens without dinner sounds like trouble!  It just made me think of some of the brides that try to have their reception starting at 6 pm, but not serve dinner!

Re: NWR

  • Ew seriously? I was a girl scout from 2nd grade until I graduated HS. I can't remember a single event that went through mealtime without offering food. Heck, even our non-mealtime activities had food. Sounds like really poor organization to me...
  • Wow, I was a girl scout in Orange County for at least 7 years and I can't remember an event where we were fed. Even if it was just a snack for a 2 hour event!
