Had my regular monthly check up for Turkeybutt on Tuesday. Was just supposed to be blood pressure, weight (both really good, yay) and listen to TB's heartbeat. Of course, of COURSE TB could not cooperate on the heartbeat front. And even though I know that's normal I still panicked. No worries, the doc says "Let's just check it out on the ultrasound."
Since we weren't scheduled for the ultrasound we had to wait for the room to be free. And wait. And wait. This is really good for my panic, yeah? Thank goodness Mr. Stoic was with me and just kept me talking about other stuff.
So we get in and the doc finds TB but has a hard time getting him/her on the screen because let me tell you- Turkeybutt is having a one baby rave in there. Arms up! Legs out! Arms down! Legs in! Dance dance dance! Doc says "Wow, that is one active baby."
To which I, rather nonsenically, reply, "I just want to see the heartbeat."
Doc says, "Um, Manda? Babies without heartbeats aren't that acitve."
Oh. Right.
Then I got to relax and realize that what once looked roughly like an Easter egg shaped blob of cells... actually looks like a baby right now. Ho.ly. crap.
Here's an annotated pic, for some reason it comes up really small on my screen so this is a posting experiment... I'll fix and post it again if it's tiny.
Ok, had to use tinypic to even ATTEMPT to make this work. Why can't I do this? Grr. [IMG]
