Bouquets.

Did any of you dry your bouquet? My friend asked me if I wanted her to dry mine while I was on the honeymoon, and I said yes, but now I don't know what to do with it.

Suggestions?

[QUOTE]Had I actually thought about it beforehand, THIS would have been pretty cool.

That's what my friend did - had it preserved in a shadow box.

So what do yours look like?  Can you put them in a shadow box or some sort of display?  Do you want to display it or just put it away as a memento?

  • I only kept one flower from mine.  I always keep only one flower from "events" so I have it dried, in a vase, with a flower H gave me on our first date, a flower from the first time we were in Nice, etc etc.

The flower from our first date was a trick.  I had to get that thing home in one piece while delivering a sailboat back to the states.

  • I pressed a couple stems to frame & put in my scrapbook and then I dried the rest.

I had orchids which frail up a lot while drying, but it now sits on our coffee table: http://adorkableduo.com/?go=diybouquet

I dried some other orchids from our engagement too: the orchids fell off, so I spray painted the stem brown and super glued the blossoms back onto the stem (terrible pic): http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3597/3439096119_7a61602ef8.jpg
