when to give parents gifts?

is there a certain time we should give our parents their thank you gifts if we arent having a RD?

if they are larger items can we just have them sent to their houses after the wedding?

Re: when to give parents gifts?

  • Are you doing a brunch or lunch the day after? If not, I would think you could give the gifts anytime a few days or a week before the wedding.
  • I wouldn't just send them to their house.  That seem so impersonal.

  • We're writing our parents each a very sweet thank you note, with promise of a parents album once we get our wedding pictures, we will give them out at rehearsal dinner.
  • If you aren't doing a RD, could you just take the two sets of parents out to dinner during the week before the wedding?

Dresses may be easier to take in than let out, but guest lists are not. -- kate51485
  • No the parents arent local but we're doing brunch the next morning so we'll do it then.

But one of them is a 50in tv so I think we'll have it sent and let them know about it in their card.
