    That is really weird.  I wonder if her mother is still alive or has passed away? In either scenerio it's still really creepy.

    If I was a guest at a wedding and walked in to see a dress form in a gown I don't know if I would be initially creeped out of if I would have a good laugh followed by creepiness setting in.  But agree.  The creepy element is totally there.

    Not sure why a nice dedication in the ceremony program to honor the marriages of parents/grandparents or, like has been suggested some pictures, would not serve the purpose.

    Eh, I could see it going either way. A display table with lots of family pic and momentos, plus the dress next to it - maybe okay. But NMS, since my wedding isn't a museum or historical society.
