OK, so I hope that this post will inspire someone to keep up the hard work on planning your wedding.
My 2 MOH's live 2 hours, and 9 hours away. My mom is about to move 9 hours away. My other 2 BM's work all the time, and one has a family. Money is tight and we're trying to be as savvy as possible.
I met with my best friend and BM tonight for dinner and hang out time. She works at our church, where I am getting married, and has had experience with MANY weddings...not to mention, knows people who can and have done things as far as weddings go.
So here's how everything is falling into place:
*My fiance just got a part-time/seasonal job (more money toward the wedding/honeymoon/etc)
*We don't have to spend money on centerpieces because the church said that we can use anything there that we find.
*We most likely will not have to pay for a venue because 1) it's where we go to church, and 2) we're having the ceremony and reception there.
*Someone in the church has OFFERED (we did not ask) to do our engagement and pre/post wedding pics for little to no charge
*A lady at work is going to make our cake free of charge (and call it a wedding gift)
If these are not examples of blessings, then I do not know what is. Like I said, I hope this inspires someone out there to hang on for the ride...it will all work out! And don't be afraid to ask for help
