I am getting married to a Marine in front of a magistrate before he deploys to Afghanistan. Only our parents will attend. Obviously people should be told we are married, but I want a big celebration of some sort a year later after he has returned. I was thinking that I should send a wedding announcement on the day of our marriage with a message that a celebrataion will follow next summer. Or maybe we should just announce the marriage and not say anything about the celebration until later. I don't want people to feel that they have to give us gifts two times. Any ideas?
