The Buried Life

Has anyone seen this show (or previews for it?) I watched the first episode on MTV the other night and really liked it. It's about 4 best friends who wrote a list of 100 things they want to do before they die.  Along the way, they help strangers accomplish things on their lists.

So, if you were to make a list (or if you have a list), what things would be on it? What do you want to do before you die?

I want to sky dive.

I want to travel internationally, and trace my roots in Germany. 

I want to restore a car.

I want to restore a house.

I want to have a baby.

I want to adopt a baby.

I want to be a coach.

I want to run. As fast as I used to. And faster.

I want to be able to buy something very pricey....with cash.

I want to learn forever.

(oh and, I've not heard of the show---but it sounds really good!)

- Get a Master's degree
- Get a job where I have my own desk/office
- Travel to Wales and see where my dad grew up
- Return to Australia at least once every 5 years.
- Buy a home
- Have a baby (or 2 or 3)
- Get a dog
- Drive across the US
- Visit every US state for at least 1 day (24 down, 26 to go!)
- Pay for a stranger's dinner
- Volunteer in a soup kitchen/homeless shelter
- AND, if things were different - "Join the military for a few years" would be on my list as well

A few things that have already been crossed off:
- Go to Australia
- Go on a cruise
- Graduate college
- Get married
- Swim with dolphins
- Fly a plane
- Dance on a stage
- Shoot a gun
- Get a tattoo

I'm sure there are things that I'm forgetting, but the show has inspired me to keep a list and to see how it all pans out.

I watched The Buried Life too and I really liked it. More than liking that they're doing things that they really want to do, they help people along the way.

Things on my before-I-die list?

-I really would like to own a Mustang. It's stupid, but I've always, always wanted one.
-Have a house built or find a gorgeous older home and restore it, as R&R said.
-Volunteer in an orphanage
-As R&R said, be able to make a large purchase in cash.
-Swim with dolphins
-Procreate

I'm sure there's more.

Hmmm good question

Things I want to do:
Do something huge for my parents - like a vacation
Have a baby
See Charm City Cakes (and hopefully meet Duff Goldman)
Successfully cook and serve a multi-course meal for 12 people
Sell my cookies
Visit Ireland
Have 100 followers on my blog
Take a photography class
Hunt big game

Things I can cross off:
Get a rib tattoo
Buy a Murano
Parasail
Plan a lovely wedding for under $10K

That does sound like an interesting show. I'll have to check it out.
Before I die, I want to:
Ride more than one century (cycling)
Raise a child or two
Travel internationally with my sisters
Conduct a fraud investigation from beginning to end (court)
Own a home (well, a different one than this one)
