Alright etiquette ladies, I posted this on my month board, and they told me I need to share it with you all to get your opinions! Enjoy
Okay, so I have to share this story with you all! On Saturday evening, my FI & I went to a wedding shower. It was thrown for the bride & groom to-be, so there were guys and girls there. It was from 7pm-10pm, so no dinner was served. There were some appetizers, mini cupcakes, brownies, beer, & wine. So we went, hung out, opened gifts, & left. Well... yesterday, the bride to-be's MOH sent out an e-mail & text saying "Hey, E & M's wedding shower on Saturday ended up costing them more than expected. We will need everyone to chip in $66 to cover the costs, and if you could give them your check by this weekend, that'd be great!" OMG! Seriously? I couldn't help but laugh, and the first thing that came to mind was... how about you take back the gift we got you & we'll call it even? Ah, I just can't even believe someone would actually do this! How embarrassing, to ask the GUESTS of your wedding shower to pay for it! Wow. I just couldn't even believe it, so I had to share!!
Needless to say, my FI & I are NOT giving them any of our money! That is absolutely insane! If we would have known we had to pay to attend their wedding shower, we wouldn't have gone in the first place!!
