Hair extentions???

So my have very fine limp hair and I have bought the clip in hair extentions before and worn them, but they hurt my head after awhile. I'm wondering if anyone has gotten hair extentions put in at a salan with the glue or braided in kind? If so, did it hurt your head from the weight of it? Pros? Cons?

I haven't, but I had friends in high school who got them braided in, and they said it hurt like no other and made their head feel like it weighed a ton. I've got baby fine hair too, so I sympathize. Have you tried doing a hair trial? You may be surprised what your stylist can pull off.

That's what I was afraid of. I haven't tried a hair trial yet I plan to this weekend. I also have shorter hair, right at my shoulders, and I wanted it to be half up half down, with some long, pretty extentions...I don't konw, I guess I can go for a hair trial and see what they come up with.

I had hair extensions for my wedding. They were actually the clip in kind because I didn't want them in for my honeymoon or anything. But, I can tell you I bairly noticed they were there. Perhaps if you get them professionally clipped they won't hurt as much? My head did feel heavier, but not weird or anything.

Plus, when you are in the moment of the big day, you barely notice things like this

I wear mine almost everyday.  You will get used to the "heavy feeling" as you wear them more.  Also try not clipping them right at your scalp, you may be pulling your hair and that is why they hurt.

When a professional puts mine in, I don't feel them at all.  When I do my own, I sometimes get a headache, especially if I wear them for days in a row.  At my wedding, I had no problems at all and I wore an entire set (all 10 pieces)--I think for the first time ever.
