Effing snow and gtg recap.

We got 2 feet.  2 FEET.  In an area where getting 6 inches throws everyone for a loop.

My mom and I are supposed to go into the city today to see The Nutcracker, but the trains are barely running. 

Last night a train got stuck on the track until 8am - I'm so glad that I wasn't on that one!

In other news, the gtg ROCKED and we had an amazing time.  I do have pics, but my computer is being a biitch and won't connect to my parents' router so I can't post them.  Camera fail.  We got manis and then ate and drank for a few hours.

However, the best quote of the evening had to be "oh wait, I can't take pictures with my wallet."  Take a guess at which knottie said it (choice are me, mag, julez, sarah#s, ggmae).

    Yep, wasn't me.  I love being pg, but it was times like last night where I missed having a beer (or 3).

    Mag is a champion driver! She managed to drive me home in realllllllllly bad snow. We drove 20mph the entire way (and then I called DH to come meet us off the highway and bring me back to our apt), but we made it! THEN, she proceeded to drive home to Massachusetts! What a champ!

    The GTG was awesome and it was so nice to meet everyone (and to see Mag again)! One of the highlights of my night was getting myself (and then my purse) stuck in the subway doors. That was entertaining for a few seconds. Thank you, Sarah and Mag for pulling my purse and I out! Haha.

    I can't wait to see pictures!

    EDIT - I wish we had had more time, but that storm definitely played a role in sending us home earlier. Either way, great time and we must do it again!

    Mag - Nelson and I slid almost the whole way home, especially getting up a hill that was right around the corner from J. Roo's. I kept semi-yelling and he was like "Stop! Close your eyes and hold your breath," so I did and was okay. You drove like a pro! :)

    And I did enjoy the mani! My nails have held up well, even after the subway doors closed on them! The woman who did my nails was a bit off though! Haha.

    I appreciate the two votes for me but sadly I didn't utter that funny phrase.  I only had 2 Guinness.

    Gretchen who had to be coerced to drink?  Her watermelon martini sat there untouched for like 20 min.  But then she kinda did better - we have pics with the timestamp on them. 

    Of course everyone gets here when I leave for a few.

    I'm going to try to burn them onto a cd or put them on a flash drive (of course I didn't bring mine) and then get them on my dad's computer.  It might take a few, but it will be well worth it.

    Oh, and we got gretchen to drink beer.  And we have photographic evidence.

    Danielle - Don't forget that I spilled on my lap 3 times. :) I'm such a clutz! That beer was a good suggestion, but it tasted like.....beer. I'm glad Mag benefited from it! I'm sorry that I failed you as a designated drinker. I think Sarah did you proud though!
