Shower TY card for attending?

I know that the wedding reception is a thank you to the guests already, and that thank you cards are specifically for gifts.  What about a bridal shower?  I had one friend attend without even a card.  I always thought the point of showers were to shower the bride with gifts so I'm wondering if I write her a thank you card for coming.  I'm okay with sending her one, but I don't want her to feel like I'm pointing out that she didn't bring a gift.

Unless you considered their presence a "gift,"  I'd pass.

She's local and didn't forget about it she's roommates with another friend and they picked their outfits the night before. Although she may see the thank you for her roommate I'm gonna pass on hers. Her being there wasn't much of a gift since she seemed hungover and was unsocial. I just didn't want to be rude if she technically deserved one.
