Good Wednesday morning.

I started a morning post, I must be coming into my own.  Today will be a better day, no crazy wedding dreams last night, yeah.  And when I got to work yesterday all hell broke loose, and I work at a church, not a good combo.

Get up ladies, and tell me why your day will be better.

Good morning...oh and did Stacks leave?  I miss her.

Re: Good Wednesday morning.

  • Good Morning!  I'm here, I'm here!  :)  I never knot from home that much and today is my first day back at work, so here I am.  I didn't have a sitter yesterday and had to get the little big head to school.

Wedding dreams, ugh.  I thankfully only had like one bad wedding dream but it really did suck!

There's a lot of people here (or used to be) that work at churches, I guess I didn't realize how many people you need to run a church - I always just thought people volunteered I guess.  Writing that out I realize that makes no sense, I just never really thought about it.
  • Stacks, Oh, so glad that you are here.  Yesterday I posted about my dream and for some reason just knew you would feel sorry for me...but nope you were MIA : ) DD at school, does she love it.

yeah, the whole church thing is funny.  Our building is a monster, 63,000 square feet, FT job plus to run it, but most people never think about who keeps is going, although I do have a ton of volunteers that help.
  • I just went and read your dream.  I think I'd be more disturbed about a stache than I would be about no dress.  I'm weird like that!  lol.  My sister is wedding planning right now, I'm her MOH.  I have a feeling I'll have way more nightmares helping her than I ever did with my own.
  • Yeah, everybody says well at least we could wax you. Really so then I would have a bright red lip and be naked. Great.
Exciting about your sis.  I just have one sis not married, she is a little on the nutso side, doesn't look good for the whole married thing, and I am so her least fav. I would never be her chosen.
Nobody wants to chat with us.
  • Morning Cfas.  2nd sis is a tri-athlete . She and H are addicts.  Must be an adrenaline thing right?  They cannot stop.  I am not jealous, but am amazed, it seems like torture.
  • Good morning!

My throat hurts.  I'm hoping it is allergies and not a second round of laryngitis.
  • Mica, soar throats suck, feel better.

Cfa- yup, you sound just like crazy sis 2. Funny.  Are you my sister?
  • How'd the half go for you cfas?  I'm glad you already want to do another one.  I want to sign up for a 5k or something but I should probably get my big arse on the treadmill a few times before I do something like that.  I've been awful about the gym.

This will be my sisters second marriage.  The first was to her sons father, they had been together 9 years and did a quick JOP wedding.  I mean they'd been together so long they just wanted to be married finally.  He cheated and they were divorced within 9 months.  Totally sucked for her.  But her FI, I'm just so in love with him.  He is probably the greatest guy she has ever dated and I want them to work out forever and ever!  He totally just fits right in and can handle my sister, which is no easy task.

My oldest sister, ugh......she's crazy.  I'd barely make it to her wedding, I definitely wouldn't be involved, that's for sure.
  • yeah, runners amaze me.  This big ass body running, so not pretty.  Cfas came home with a medal, was it a gold one?  we never did ask.

Stacks- when is the wedding?  My oldest sis is by far the craziest.  There are 6 of us girls, so it will be hard for ya'll to keep up..most of them are touched.
  • Morning,

    Hope you feel better Mica

Random current event WTF?  - a court said that prison officials (forget what state) as to pay for a man, who killed his wife BTW, to get a sex change.   They said it's the only way to cure his mental disorder.    So you kill your wife and then you get a free $80k+ operation.  Okay.

What differentiates an average host and a great host is anticipating unexpressed needs and wants of their guests.  Just because the want/need is not expressed, doesn't mean it wouldn't be appreciated.
  • That MA case pisses me off.

My FIL is in the hospital.  It's probably his gallbladder.  It's frustrating getting family updates from non-medical people.  If I weren't sick, I'd probably drag H over there right now to get things straightened out, but it's probably poor form to show up sick at a hospital to argue with specialists who supposedly know what they're doing.
  • Morning everyone.

Lynda, that case in MA makes me all ragey, especially since the disorder didnt present itself until he was already incarcerated.  I work with people with disabilities so I am certainly appreciative of the need to treat mental disabilities, but come on.

I officially am sick.  I was so hoping this was just my allergies, but I think I caught whatever FI had (that I thought was allergies, too).  I feel like I could fall asleep at my desk right now.  I definitely need some tea.

Stacks, how was J's first day back at school?

  • Mica and Button, hope you are both feeling better soon!

Cfas, you've been bitten by the racing bug, it seems! Three summers ago, I did a 5K almost every weekend. Couldn't get enough.

H took the kids to school. We are at just THREE DAYS until oldest DD's wedding! Oh my goodness! But seems we are ready. I hope.

School for J went well.  She wouldn't talk much about it but they were only there for an hour and a half.  Today is a full day - well 2.5 hours (the full time) so we'll see what she says today.  Althought I won't even see her until after bedtime.  This is going to be the longest day ever!

She's totally feeling herself today though, she has on red skinny jeans and you can't tell her anything.  So I'm sure that will turn into her talking too much in class.  haha.

Edit:  Oh, and my sister is getting married June 1.  :)
  • Stacks, I was such a talker in school.  When I graduated from high school they gave me my "permanent record" and every one of my report cards from elementary school had comments about me being a chatterbox and needing to learn to let other talk.

</div><div>I bet mine said the same. What happens to your 'permanent record' after you are old and grey? Nobody ever gave me mine. Weird. </div>

  • Wally, they gave it to us because our school no longer had enough room to store all of the records.  They now have a computer database that stores just the basic information about us in case we need it.  It had some fun things in there like work I did in kindergarten.

  • I was such a suck up, teachers pet and scared of the world in elementary school.  I'm sure my report cards all say, "Pleasure to have in class" b/c I was like a model student until 6th grade.  I only got 2 b's all of elementary school and I cried so hard when I did.  I was such a weirdo.

[QUOTE]Morning. After my half, I'm craving another race. I just H a list of a bunch of different 5ks in October. I think I have a problem.

My brother just ran a full iron man.  Now he's saying he wants to find a full marathon to run soon because his last one didn't hurt enough... you know, the one that was associated with 4km swim and 180kms of biking.  Freaking lunatic.

It's an illness, be forewarned ;)

  • Stack, I got my first 'B' in 6th grade and bawled. I was such a 'failure.' LOL.

  • So I've now been standing outside in the muggy weather for almost a half hour because of a fire drill. There's no emergency vehicles so we know it must be a drill but it is way too hot in my suit jacket to be out here.

  • wow Habs, amazing brother, who would do that on purpose?  All of you make me feel like dumb kid.   I had school issues.  Went to a convent in the early years, those nuns scared the Jesus out of me...so school was a nightmare from then on.  Although rebellion probably was not the right track either.

I got a B for the first time since entering my college program (BA) this summer semester and bawled. Clearly, I'm still not beyond crying over anything outside of an A... LOL. DH thought I was crazy.

Morning all. I have one class today and I really don't want to go since it's raining and gloomy, and that also means traffic is going to suck going into the city. But I've missed two classes already thanks to the department taking it's sweet ass time in authorizing me to swap sections, so I really can't miss another class, especially right now.

And all those people who run marathons and compete in iron man races and such; all crazy. I have no idea how anyone can do it. I started training for a half marathon and gave up less than a week in. I don't see how anyone can enjoy that torture. LOL.
  • I'm training for an Ironman right now (so is FI).  7 weeks after we say "I do" we'll be racing!

There's something about pinning on a race number that makes you say "It's go time".
