Possibly TMI but...(wedding night question, not E related)

FI and I have lived together for about 4 years, so obviously, we didn't wait for our wedding before we were intimate. When we went through premarital counseling, our counselours suggested that we try and stay celibate the last month before the wedding, and we both liked the idea of the real anticipation of the honeymoon, so, we've been giving it a try. 7 days down, 23 to go! At the rate we're going, there will definitely be some anticipation there!

Anyways, I'm kind of wondering if anyone else did this, and if you are glad you did, that kind of thing...and how you dealt with it, if you care to share.

I think it's great that you guys are going to hold off until the wedding (that's what FI and I are doing).  If you don't consider it cheating, you can always do the forplay stuff and not the actual act.  I think it can bring a couple closer together if they have to learn how to say "I love you" in a way that doesn't involve sex.  Good luck!

I was celebate for almost 22 years (not by choice) and at times I did think I regained my virginity!

I don't even know if we will be having sex on our wedding night unfortunately, the morning will start very early & our reception doesn't end till 1am. The next morning though for sure if not that night, i want to relieve stress though in that month.</div>

I think the appeal that some of you are missing is that even after a week of say, forced separation, you are totally dying to jump each other's bones. I think this would be easier if we didn't already live together. My FH is dying for me to get a piercing, that would cause me to be unavailable for about 6 weeks. We talked about getting the piercing right before the wedding so it causes a forced abstainance but I don't know how I feel about either things. (I have no piercings or tattoos at all) If we're not having sex I feel more like his roommate, or the person who cleans up after him. I think we would get so cranky, tense, and uptight if we didn't have sex during the most intense period before the wedding. So I'm still undecided but we shall see.
