So, I got a text from my younger brother last night that read "gettin married tues 5pm at our [parents'] house." I questioned him about it and apparently he took my advice and contacted a local JP who does short-notice ceremonies (and since my brother is in the Army, she is doing his ceremony for free.) He emailed her Friday and got a response yesterday that she was available on Tuesday. Phew!
It's going to be something short and simple. I asked him what I should wear and he said "clothes." Ha. I'm thinking I'll wear khakis and a sweater - that seems fitting, right?
They are going to be having another ceremony and a reception when he gets back from Afghanistan in July 2011. Should we get them a gift now, and then again in 2011? Or should I just wait it out so that we can save up and get them something nicer? DH says it's up to me. WWYD?
