So our washer broke on Monday, leaked water all over the kitchen floor and it seeped into my (carpeted) room also. They sent maintenance people out right away and brought a Shop Vac to clean it up, but they didn't have the part they needed to fix the washer in stock. The guy told me it'd be fixed in less than 24 hours.
Well it's Friday, and it's still not fixed. And guess what? I just called the office, and the manager said she knew nothing about this! Apparently our work order paperwork was filed under "complete" since they came and drained/vacuumed the water. I didn't want to be "that" tenant and pester them about it, but now I wish I had since somebody messed up.
The complex also has a "public" washer/dryer area, but it's for studio apartments only. You'd think considering the circumstances a) that our washer broke and b) they messed up, they'd let us use the facilities, but no. Of course not.
Argh.
ETA: A guy is here fixing it now; he showed up just as I finished this rant. *sigh*
