who goes to a wedding rehearsal?

this seems like a random question - but im not sure.  Who goes to the wedding rehersal?  just the wedding party and the officiant and bride and groom so we can do a walk through of the flow? we aren't having any ceremony readings or anything like that - just a short ceremony.

Re: who goes to a wedding rehearsal?

  • Yep.  Just the people involved in the wedding ceremony.

  • Just the people that need to rehearse.  You can invite more people to the rehearsal dinner if you'd like, though.

  • Are your parents involved in the ceremony?  If yes, then yes.

The ushers are up to you.  I'd say yes if they can make it, but most of it will bore them, really.

We did.  We wanted everyone to know where they were sitting, what the timeline was and to get some info about pictures before and after the ceremony (our photographer was at the rehearsal to see the venue).

[QUOTE]Nope. If your ceremony is so straight forward are you sure you need a rehearsal? We didn't rehearse and everyone made it down the aisle just fine.

My problems didn't come from getting people where they were supposed to be.  It came from having a last minute change in officiant and wedding ceremony and I completely screwed up parts of my vows.

Rehearsing THAT might've been beneficial.  Ha

You do also need to include the spouses or significant others of the bridal party.  As well as the parents of any kids.

ETA: Duh, I read rehearsal dinner, not rehearsal.  Just the wedding party needs to be at the actual rehearsal.
