Snowed in... PIP

Everything in Madison is shut down, EVERYTHING!  Schools, state offices, post office, stores, malls, etc.  We literally have 7 foot drifts!

Here's from our front porch:

Re: Snowed in... PIP

  • Sorry.  Might be my fault.

So how are you spending your snow-day? Cocoa and a movie?
  • I'm jealous.  It's not even cold here in Louisiana.  It's like 70 degrees out and that depresses me because I'm going to get my Christmas tree today and it's too warm to drink hot chocolate while I trim the tree.

  • Wow! I guess I'll stop complaining about it being cold here in dallas.  Well...walking into work with windy 30 degree weather IS cold to a wimp like me.  :(
  • wowzas and not jealous.  Enjoying your day off at least?
  • Holy crap that's no joke!

  • Drifts are blocking half our windows!  Minka is completely perplexed and I think a little freaked out.

Our company's shipping facility is based out of Madison, so we have a lot of unhappy customers today.
  • Aw I wish it would snow here.  I've only seen snow maybe 3 times ever.  It's in the 70s and we've already had a tornado watch in our area today.

Damn, WI doesn't mess around with the snow do they?

What are your plans for the day, sitting inside sipping cocoa, or are you going sledding?

  • We had 17 inches... literally when I took the dog out, i went to the bottom of the driveway and the snow from the plow was above my head, like 6 feet.  I have never seen it like this!

  • OMG, that's SNOW behind you?  Wowzer.  Don't open that door.  Wink
  • holy crap!  At least we could open the door!

  • Jealous that you got the day off.  It's snowy and icy here (not as bad as you, though) and all that I got was a 2 hour (instead of 30 minute) commute this morning.  Bah humbug.
