What is appropriate to do in this situation?
I originally asked six ladies to be in my wedding party, my sister, future SIL, and 4 close friends. However one of them just found out that she will not be able to attend because her brother is getting married on the same day.
My fiance has already asked six gentlemen as groomsmen. Would it be inappropriate of me to ask another friend instead? I don't want him to have to 'unask' a groomsman. But I also don't want to make one of my friends feel like second fiddle by not having been asked first. (I would have loved to have included more initially, but six was already pushing it!) Alternatively, would it be better to have uneven sides, and does that work without making the 'extra' person feel awkward when everyone else is paired?
Any input and feedback would be appreciated! Just not sure what the best approach would be!
