Thursday Night Annoyances...

(1) Why is H caring about baseball when he knows that I do not care?

(2) Why can't I watch the second episode of Sister Wives on TLC.com?

(3) Why do I have to go to work tomorrow?

Now you go....

Bonus question - what are you drinking?

Re: Thursday Night Annoyances...

  • 1. I hate being on West coast time when it comes to watching my shows. I want Grey's Anatomy to be starting now for me.

    2. I'm getting overly irritated at the boards lately. It seems like the second someone posts telling the OP that their idea isn't the best way to go all these other newbs are jumping to the OP's rescue and calling people rude and bitter.

As for the bonus, I was forcing myself to wait until 6pm to make a drink, so since the cuckoo clock is cuckooing that its 6 right now, I'm about to make myself a vodka and crystal light. Unfortunately my wine fridge is completely empty Frown

  • I'm drinking water.

I'm annoyed that I have to work tommorow. But i'm leaving during lunch to get my hair done, so I get a little break that I usually don't get.

I'm annoyed that BF wants to watch American Chopper. Doesn't he realize Grey's Anatomy is on?
i hate not being able to watch on demand when 2 shows are taping. i hate all my customers today. Lady handed me money Me: i still need a twenty. Her: What. No. I double check and the 20 was stuck to a 50 very well. Me. Oh, sorry about that. She proceeds to huff and puff. Me: Sorry it was a mistake. they were stuck to each other. Her: Yea 5's and 2's look like eachother now dont they? Read that in the snotty tone lol. I stood there for a sec staring at her. I love when people think im lower than them because Im a manager at a retail store. another customer today. Her and her child are walking through some racks. The kids begins pulling clothes off the hangers. The mother sees me looking at them and proceeds to say. "Its her job to pick up after us so go for it" Nice....really nice.
    Posted by karmellah
I would have then said "It's also my job to kick rude customers out of the store so you can leave now."

I used to hate when customers would try and belittle me when I worked as a waitress/bartender. I worked all during college and the first couple years teaching too because the money was so good. People used to try to prove me wrong all the time, and then say "Well what do you know, you're just a waitress." So I used to love throwing in their face that "Actually I'm a waitress with a Master's degree, try again." People are just so rude and so quick to judge.

Thanks. Its still annoying though. I swear some of this has to be made up, because how on earth could someone think that tiered BMs or honorary BMs are a good idea? Whatever. I'm pretty convinced theres some Newbs board that we don't know about where they've decided to try and gang up on the regs.. Nice try!

I also have to ditto the feelings on only being able to do 2 shows at a time. There's just too much good stuff on TV! I haven't tried ondemand while DVRing 2 things on my TV so I don't know about that. I have noticed though that its basically pointless of me to DVR any of my regular shows now since they are all on ondemand. With my luck though the week I don't DVR it won't show up on there.

  • Re: picking up for yourself. I hate when I go to Panera and I pay $10 for a salad and an ice tea and sit down to eat, finish my meal and then....I have to bus my own table. Why do I have to clean up after myself if I'm paying restaurant with waitress prices? I think that they are not paying the $2.50 an hour or whatever they would pay the waitress/busboy , not lowering my prices and making me clean up after myself.

Update - I'm drinking Magic Hat.

H and I are debating going to ikea. We want to go, but it's beautiful stay-home weather and we can barely be bothered getting ready. Besides which, today was my 'relax and get over illness' day... to shop or not to shop? hmm!

  • I'm drinking a Mike's Classic Margarita and going to bed as soon as it's done.

Until then, I'm midly annoyed by the bridal shower pooping incident described below. And only really because nobody pointed out that there are at least 2 posters in that thread (including the OP) who joined today and the entire thing stinks of MUD. I like seeing those threads go the way of a trainwreck, and that one clearly did not.

Oh and I spent like 2 hours on my fingernails today (representin' day at work tomorrow for the MSU vs. Michigan game) only to notice a dent in the white paint on one finger AFTER the clear coat has dried. Ugh. I'm not re-doing it.
  • I never have patience for fingernail painting. I always end up smudging it!
  • Oh and my FB response to all that nonsense was a link to the CNN article that appeared at like 4:00 this afternoon, with a note that said "Okay, now that you all got yourselves on the news again, can we try to do something that's actually helpful for breast cancer?"

LVB is my only friend who's Liked it so far. We must just be a different breed in here.

  • Haha sun, I used to do it all the time but lately only if I'm really motivated. This game on Saturday is the biggest game of the year in this state so I had to totally do it up. Green and white on alternating nails with green "S" stickers on the white nails sealed in with clear coat. Yeah. It took 2 hours. Oy.

Best of three, so one more win by the Yankees and they take the title. The Twins need to win the last three. And I really, REALLY hope they do.
