I posted this on my wedding month board, but I really enjoy reading your feedback on this board. I lurk on here quite a bit. I don't post because all the advice I would give is said 10 times better by most people here anyway heheheh.
So here's is the story: I was talking with my coworker, just shootin the breeze, and she was telling me about a friend of hers who is getting married soon. Her friend doesn't have an "official" bridal party so all of the bride's friends got together and threw her a shower.
She (the bride who has no "official wedding party) recently sent out an email to all the friends regarding her bachelorette party, which she was throwing herself. The email detailed what they are doing, how she wants it done and the cost. At the end of the email she reminded everybody that she "did all this for everyone else" and that it's her turn now. (Co-worker told me she's one of the last to get married out of their group of friends.
On top of that, she asked all of her friends to wear the same color dress to the wedding, though there really isn't a bridal party.
Does this seem strange/silly to you? I've never heard of an "unofficial" bridal party. While this story has nothing to do with me or really people I know, I was just curious to see what you thought because it does seem so darn strange to me.
