Anything other than"Here Comes the Bride"..suggestions??

Hello Ladies, I know this has been posted before & now that our wedding is only a week away, I'm having second thoughts about walking down the aisle to the traditional bridal chorus aka here comes the bride..Any suggestions?? We're using Vitamin String Quartet for our prelude (Van Morrison) & recessional (Beatles) songs so I'd like to use a string, instrumental type of song when I walk down the aisle..Thank you :)

  • I'm doing vitamin string quartet for the whole ceremony! I'm using their version of Finger11's "one thing" for the precessional, U2s "with or without you" for my entrance and "bittersweet symphony" for the recessional.  I really like their music because it has the elegance of the quartet but the "hipness" of modern music.
  • Canon in D by Pachelbel is great and it always draws tears. My sister used it. It was beautiful and there is a good chance the quartet already knows it, which is something you should consider this close to the wedding.
  • I'm seriously considering walking down the aisle to an instrumental version of "All I Ask of You" from the Phantom of the Opera. Canon in D would be my second choice.
  • i am walking down the aisle to the instrumental version of "november rain" by guns and roses

  • I'm using "Simple Gifts" done by Alison Krauss and Yo-Yo Ma and we will be playing other Yo-Yo Ma songs [that haven't been chosen for sure yet...] for the prelude and recessional so that it flows easily. I like the idea of it being all Vitamin String Quartet, if they have another song you like. I had also considered the "Winter" part of the Four Seasons by Vivaldi [a little less enthused than the "Spring" movement.]
