How many hours before the ceremony should the photog arrive?

I know this question, in other forms, has been asked before, but I haven't quite gotten my question answered and again PE ladies give good advice so...

My ceremony starts at 3p.  I was hoping to do some pre-ceremony shots and also have some pics of getting ready.  I was thinking to have the day start (and photographer arrival) at about 11:30a, but as i look through other ladies timelines I see the day starting at 9a for a 4:30 ceremony.

So, how long should I plan to get ready and when would be a good point/time to have the photographer arrive to get all the "must have" shots?

I'm looking at a package with 9-10 hours, so I'm trying to decide if I should budget to have them for longer.

    Thanks for the thoughts ladies.

Julez  - I haven't talked to the photographer about it as I am still deciding.  looking to have about 3 on each side (6 total and a RB), yes there will probably be lots of family shots.  I was thinking that I would like to take pictures with FI before so that we could enjoy a little of the cocktail hour (or at least not make it run long).

Right now I am trying to decide on a photographer.  One has a 9 hour package, another 10 hours that are within out budget - I thought that was plenty and I could make it work, but then when I started looking at the 14 hour timelines, I got worried, so I just wondered how much time before the ceremony would we need him/her there (and thus total time) to get all the "good" short.

Sorry so long - I try not to be long winded, but FAIL.
