Wording for RSVP cards

We bought a 50% off deal for Minted.com from GiltCity, and it's getting time for us to use it fairly soon.

On the RSVP cards the front will be traditional (M___ xattends xcannot attend, whatever) but on the back I have the option to have text printed.

We are going to have a large shuttle (probably a bus of some kind) take guests from the hotel to the venue and back again at the end of the night because so many of our guests are from NYC and don't have licenses (I know, I know). Plus I just don't want to worry about drunk driving.

I would like to put a section on the back of the RSVP card asking guests to mark how many members from their party will be utilizing this shuttle service as I'm sure some would rather drive, etc. Can someone kindly help me word this?

I also plan to just say, "Please note any dietary restrictions: ___________" - does that sound ok? I'm vegetarian, FI is allergic to nuts, shelfish and dairy, and my whole family is vegan so I think we'll PROBABLY have most bases covered already, but I'd rather be safe than sorry ;)

Thanks!

Re: Wording for RSVP cards

  • Regarding the shuttle to the hotel...  How do you plan on conveying your hotel info regarding where blocks of rooms are at?  I would include it there...that's what I did.

Mine says (I'm stuffing invites as we speak...how handy that I have this info!) :)

Rooms have been blocked off at the following hotel for $89/night.
Mention the bride-groom wedding when booking.
Shuttle service from the reception to the hotel will be available.
    ...then the hotel's contact info.

I think that's where it should be since you're not offering shuttle service to those without hotel rooms, right?

    </div><div>Oh sorry! </div><div>
</div><div>Separate accomodations card that will refer to the shuttle and the RSVP card! :) </div><div>
</div><div>Also, most guests will already know as the info was on our save the dates and it's on our wedding website.</div><div>
</div><div>ETA: yes, we're offering to absolutely anyone invited to the wedding who wants to use, though I'm not sure why someone would rather drive to the hotel and park their car there than the venue - they're a 15 min drive apart. I need RSVPs because I need a head count. It could be anywhere from 50-150 people. Obviously different vehicles needed for those numbers! lol

  • Do you expect a large number of people to have hotel rooms?  I'd probably just assume that those individuals need rides...how else would they get back to the hotel?  Also, will there be shuttle service for people who want to leave an hour before the reception is over as well as when the reception is over?  Meaning, is it making multiple trips?

<div>I would expect about 100 people to have hotel rooms.</div><div>
</div><div>Yes, it will probably make multiple trips at the end of the night - or at least have the option to. It apparently has to wait around the whole time anyway, so I see no reason why if I'm already paying for the time they can't start taking people back sooner if they'd like, but our wedding will be fairly short, 4-5 hours including ceremony.</div>
