From all that I have read there is a lot of etiquette on how I, the bride, am supposed to treat my bridesmaids, but I am having a very hard time finding advice on how to deal with an overly competative and somewhat selfish bridesmaid.
While she and I used to be best friends, we grew apart as soon as her boyfriend came into the picture about a year ago. I have taken responsibility for my part of our fall out, but she has never said anything to me.
Now that I am engaged (she is not) every time my wedding comes up, she quickly takes the conversation. When I was showing my ring to my group of bridesmaids she began discussing the size and shape that hers would be. And the examples only get more competative from there.
I am not a competative person, and while it might sound a little selfish, this is my time and I am tired of her taking the spotlight.
Has anyone else dealt with this? If so, how can I handle this without coming across as a bridezilla?
