Shower/Bachelorette party hostess gifts

So my shower and B-party are a week apart and are being given by the same women. I'm not sure whether to do two rounds of smaller hostess gifts or one larger one?

Also, when do I give out the gifts?

I think one gift is fine, and I don't think it matters when you give it. Either after the shower or after the b-party, but acknowledge your gratitude regarding both events and she'll get the picture that it sort of covers both.
