Secret Santa

This will be the first Christmas we spend with my FI's family. We dedicded to do secret santa. The person I ended up having to buy for is his grandfather. We aren't able to communicate much because he does not know much English.

Fi doesn't know what I should get him either so he is no help! I've never had to shop for one of my grandfathers because they both passed away when I  was really young.

I'm really hoping one of you have a good suggestion. I'm drawing a blank and I have to get it before Friday since we leave Friday night. Please help?

I love the heated throw blanket idea.  You could also give him some homemade cookies as a bonus!

When in doubt, I go with either scarf or wine.

Also, you can get some sort of puzzle-y book.  Almost all of the grandmothers in our families love them (we only have one grandfather between the two of us and he would rather just get a power tool, so he's not much help!)

I'm thinking sudoku or crosswords or word searches.  Probably in large print

I like the idea of crosswords or sodoku puzzles.  I got my grandfather a gift set from Hickory Farms this year.

I get tasty food items for everyone over about 60.

I figure if they haven't told anyone ANYTHING they need/want for Christmas then they have enough stuff.

I did a gift basket of assorted treats for my Aunt, chocolates for my step-grandfater, etc.
