Children in the wedding party

We are including several young family members in the wedding party. These are kids we are very close with and spend a great deal of time with-- brother, nieces, nephews, etc. It is still okay to not invite everyone else's kids? We both have huge families, and while I definitely want to include the kids who are close to us, our guest list would easily double if everyone brings their children. Has anyone else included only the children in the wedding party?

[QUOTE]WP members are the exception to the no kids rule. In fact, it is rude to invite someone to the ceremony but not the reception. Some people might be a little hurt, but you totally have etiquette on your side.

WP children are the ONLY children invited to our wedding. Most of the parents coming to ours wouldnt even want their kids there because they want a night off. Im not a fan of kids at weddings, but thats just me.

  • You can invite only the children in the WP, but if they have siblings who aren't in the WP I would extend the invitation to them as well.
