Hmm.. pay $60 to spend a night in jail?

This is hilarious.  My city just built a new jail, and they're offering an um... opportunity? to spend the night there for $60.

If I wait another month, I could just go for free!  www.denvergov.org/Portals/671/documents/BNBJusticeCenter.pdf">

  • interesting.. I'm sure you will get someone who would love to get a chance to see a jail up close and personal

What differentiates an average host and a great host is anticipating unexpressed needs and wants of their guests.  Just because the want/need is not expressed, doesn't mean it wouldn't be appreciated.
  • I'd do it.  Seriously.

  • Well considering I love going to the bathroom in front of people, I'd LOVE! to stay in a jail cell!

  • Our city did that during some historical week.  I didn't do it, but it got a great turnout I believe.
  • It would definitely be a unique experience.  I don't want to wake up at 5:30 am on a weekend, though, and I don't want to sleep in a cell with a stranger.

  • Umm...I'll pass thanks.  And I was a crim major in college.
  • LOL I just showed this to some of my coworkers (we're in Golden, CO) and everybody said "pass".

  • I would do it.  But I wouldn't be a big fan of paying for it.

Most of my clients are in jail.  I think it would be a good experience for me.
  • Kiki, I didn't realize you were in Colorado! I went to school in the Springs... Love Denver so much!
