i'm exhausted, Easter dinner was

at my place this year.

23 people, including 2 year old idential twin boys who LOVE my NYC patio and just couldn't help climbing up on chairs to get an even better view of the city.  Their mother was  just a little anxious when they did this.  They played fencing with the planter sticks from the terra cotta urns once they got a good sugar high going. 0_0

10lb turkey breast, 13 lb ham, 5 lbs of asparagus, 2 pans of homemade mac & cheese (it's required) 4 lbs. green salad, onions in wine sauce, and not a thing is left over!   There were 4 birthdays so there had to be 4 cakes (i  guess)

one case of champagne, 4 bottles white wine, half a case of beer and 4 large pitchers of bloody marys.   oh, cheeses, pates, etc. for appetizers.

I reallly did want leftover turkey or ham :(

  • I just reread my post.

one case of champagne -= 12 bottles, right?  5 of the 23 guests were children.
My family should go to meetings
  • Hahaha y'all are a bunch of alchoholics! Seriously though, that sounds like an awesome party. I'm going to have to move to NYC just to attend them.

  • i've told you before to come anytime!
  • I'm hitting up your place next easter. I had bottomless bellinis today but still...
  • Oot, that sounds like what my family would go through. Especially the wine/champagne. At least we are happy drunks, not mean ones.
  • Ha!  I wish I could give you some of our leftovers!  I seem to get way to excited about holiday meals and make way too much.  12 lb ham for 6 people might have been a tad overboard, nevermind the mountain of potatoes, green bean casserole, etc.

I don't think I've ever had onions in wine sauce.  I'll admit it sounds yummy even though I have no idea what it looks or tastes like (besides onion-ish).  Off to food network...
