...did it ever become normal to invite yourself to someone's wedding! I called our hotel today to block rooms and the receptioninst at the desk was actually someone I was REALLY good friends with in middle school but have only seen maybe 3 or 4 times since high school. After business was done, he texted me just to chat and catch up. He then asked if he was invited. I told him we haven't finalized the list yet. He explained that's fine since he's hoping to have moved out of the state by then so he won't be able to make it anyway... okay then why did you bother asking! Argh.
We have a HUGE family reuinion this weekend with my dad's side, with all the extended family (including my great uncles and second cousins, yadda yadda). They are TOTALLY the kind of people to invite themselves. I was joking with FI that we should make a drinking game out of people inviting themselves during convos this weekend. Take a shot every time someone asks. At least it will make it more interesting?
