hair trial apt

I have my wedding hair trial apt tomorrow morning.  My bridesmaids have offered to pay for my wedding hair, and from what I understand, this includes tomorrow's trial.  I plan to bring money for a tip, but am not sure how much...??  Any ideas/suggestions?

I would bring money to pay for the trial just in case its not included.  Mine was not, and you don't want to be stuck not having enough money.  

I think I tipped $10 at my trial.  I usually always do 20% or more for salon appts of any type but everyone is different.  Personally, I feel if you are taking care of something on my face and head I don't want you to be bitter about a bad tip and make me look like ass next time.

Do you all still tip that much if the vendor is working for themselves? I always thought that you tip if they are part of a larger group but if they are their own boss so to speak you aren't expected to tip (since all the $ you are paying them is going straight into their pocket anyways). Just wondering...

Yeah I tip 20% regardless.  I have heard that though about if people own it or work for themselves you don't tip as much.  But honestly I just look at it as tipping for their service.  I don't appreciate them any less because they own the place or work for themselves, so I don't tip less.
