Rehearsal/Rehearsal Dinner

Hi everyone.
Just a quick question:
I am in a wedding on Saturday - the rehearsal and rehearsal dinner is set to take place on Friday. My H was invited also (not in the wedding), but will likely not be able to make it to the church because of work (starts at 6 PM - he doesn't even usually get home until 6:30, church is about a half hour away).
Is it acceptable for him to just meet everyone at the rehearsal dinner? Or, if he isn't going to be at the rehearsal, should he not come to the dinner?
TIA.

Re: Rehearsal/Rehearsal Dinner

  • If he was invited, and he's not in the wedding anyway, it's perfectly fine for him to meet up at the dinner.  There's no reason for him to be at the church anyway, and it's less distracting to have fewer spectators at the actual rehearsal.

  • yea, just do dinner. rehearsals are pretty boring for people who aren't involved in the actual ceremony.
  • What Dani said, exactly. Rehearsals are overwhelming anyway. There were a couple of people I wish I could have punted out the door...
