I am wondering how to tip my vendors. We are on a tight budget, so we have been able to use our families 'connections' to get cheaper vendors. I am just not sure how we should tip them.
Here are the examples:
-Cake baker (family friend) Making the cake(s) at cost. Not even sure what the cost for that will be yet.
-DJ: FH's friend, doing the ceremony and reception for $500.
-Hotel transportation bus for guests: included in the booking of the hotel (free)
-Limo: the limo is being bartered for misc work MIL is doing for the limo company (promotional items)
-Videographer: Won a package at a silent auction for $250. Package is worth $1,000.00
-bartenders/caterer: The reception hall supplies the catering, which is a buffet. The total food bill will include an 18% gratuity. Is that enough for the catering and bartenders.
-officiant: The officiant is on of my work clients' husbands. He insisted on doing the ceremony (quick 15 min ceremony) at no charge fee. We will be paying for his and his wifes drinks all night and a limo ride home.
I think these are the only one's that I am not sure whether to tip or how much.
Any help would be great!! Thanks!!
