Hi everyone,
A little background before I ask questions. My fiance and myself live with 2 other friends in a place that is owned by our roommates grandparents. Well we found out last night that the grandparents asked him to move out and into a smaller place they own. Well that means that my fiance, me and one of our roommates are going to have to find a new place and start paying rent within the next few months. Well we weren't planning for that and have nothing set aside for that.
So we've decided that we're just going to have our immediate family with us and get married at the courthouse and then have a nice reception for the rest of our friends and family. I know a few places we can have it for free or pretty close to it so it'll be something we can afford.
But I'm wondering how do we need to word invitations? Also since we're not have people at the actual ceremony do we still need to worry about registering for gifts or do we not expect them? I'm not sure how the rules go on gifts and such. Also does anyone have any fun ideas for the reception? I'm debating borrow some game systems and setting up a gamer area since a lot of our friends (and my fiance) are big gamers.
